RETRACE
Simple and accurate Phase and Feeder identification for LV Networks.
The RETRACE has been developed to meet two very basic needs of the electricity distribution industry:
The need for accurate Phase and Cable identification during L.V. Cable Fault Location and also the need to know exactly how customers are connected to the supply system.
Due to increasing regulatory pressures, these needs have become more acute in recent times.

The RETRACE for L.V. phase and feeder identification consists of two separate units:
- The RETRACE transmitter superimposes a number of low power signals at different frequencies on L.V. cable cores in the substation
- The RETRACE receiver, when connected to the L.V. system can detect the strength of these frequencies and allow the operator to correctly identify the correct phasing of any single phase supply and the correct L.V. Feeder
