With demand for rail planned to increase by as much as 100% in UK cities, the need for a reliable and efficient rail network is high on the agenda. Kelvatek is the only Network Rail approved supplier of the SIGNET system and have been for almost ten years.
SIGNET is installed on the West Coast Main Line, a key Network Rail arterial route, ensuring power is delivered to each signalling supply point, continually reporting live feeder conditions to Asset View – Network Rails condition monitoring software for key and strategic assets.
SIGNET maintains signalling supplies on the railway network and is capable of locating and isolating cable faults. It is an intelligent protection scheme which allows a faulted section to be automatically and quickly isolated. This ensures that the supply is restored to a maximum number of locations in a short period of time. The unit is designed specifically for the UK system of signalling supplies and is available for both single phase 650V and three phase 400V.
