Northern Ireland Electricity installed their first set of BIDOYNG units this week in Bangor, County Down. The units have been installed on part of the network with a history of intermittent fault activity, and will restore electricity to customers after a fault by switching in a second fuse. SMS text and e-mail messages will keep NIE staff informed of fault activity on the network, and when it is necessary to replace fuses at the substation.
