The Smart Fuse


BIDOYNG is a single shot auto-recloser designed to remove intermittent faults from the Low Voltage network.

BIDOYNG fits into existing LV fuse positions using two LV fuses in parallel, creating a robust single-shot auto-recloser. The primary fuse carries the load current until a fault causes it to operate. Then, after a user programmed delay, the secondary fuse is switched in and the network re-energised without customer interruption.

GATEWAY


Gateway

GATEWAY provides LV substation communications. GATEWAY is a wireless interface between BIDOYNG and remote users, GATEWAY gives visual representation of local BIDOYNG units.

This allows up to 15 BIDOYNG units to give live status updates remotely.




Communications

BIDOYNG are used in conjunction with a GATEWAY to provide enhanced system features:

  • GSM / GPRS for external communication and real time status of each unit
  • Full web-based interface for detailed information
  • Updates on critical feeders via SMS and / or email
